HISTORY & LOCAL REGION
Taliouine has been recognized for centuries as the cradle of Moroccan saffron. Nestled at an altitude of 1,200 meters in the foothills of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, the region benefits from a unique microclimate—cool nights, sunny days, and well-drained clay-limestone soil. It is here that our partner producers, organized into a family cooperative, cultivate Crocus sativus using time-honored methods, without any pesticides or chemical inputs.
